Duality, what a concept!

A Song For The Road:
I've had several conversations this week about duality. Let's define our terms for the purpose of the conversation!
Duality
1. the quality or condition of being dual
2. an instance of opposition or contrast between two concepts or two aspects of something; a dualism
This word is used in contexts of Math, Physics, Art, Literature, Economics, and Philosophy. It garners 11 points in Scrabble.
The Yin Yang is probably the most accessible visual representation of duality. Yin represents the dark, Yang the light. There is always a little light in the dark and dark in the light - it is the combination and constant exchange of energy between the two that creates the circle of life. This metaphor is intended to extend into every aspect of life and universe- Good and evil, masc and femme, chaotic and peaceful. I have found myself wondering how this can connect to us now, given how nuts everything is.
I've been reaching all over the place for guidance. In the last few weeks, my YouTube has been flooded with Tarot readings- it was already a full moon, Mercury Retrograde, and the Lion's Gate portal, if ever there was a time to start... I got several messages about St. Germain and the Violet flame, about Energetic Alchemy and Transmutation, the archangels are very close. I wonder how we can use this knowledge to make our current situation better. I think a lot of people are missing the point- we need all the voices, as many as possible, as different as possible, to create a society that does more good than harm.
There is a weird shirking of our human responsibilities within the spiritual community. Phrases that refer to politics as "noise" or "earthly distractions". I reject any kind of "spirituality" that allows us to shirk our Human Duties. Why do you think Jesus was flipping tables? It was an act of resistance toward the State, claiming a space as sacred. Refusing to allow CAPITALISM and PATRIARCHAL HEIRARCHY into the heart of the community.
As a spiritual person, it is my duty to help people embrace that which they are afraid of for the good of all humanity. It is my duty to participate deeply in our communities, to question oppressive governmental systems that keep us from acheiving a higher state of being. Plato beleived the purpose of governement was to help the people do exactly this. Government should provide us with access to basic nessecities and provide relative safety so that we are free to further human consciousness.
I'm scratching (Thanks to Twyla Tharpe for the term) right now. Scratching at something. There must be a way to turn this "lonlieness epidemic" into new connections, a way to embrace those who are so busy hating others and to show them what life could be like without fear. To spread love thru mutual aid.
My sweatshirt finally died, but I really liked the patch. Gotta find something new to put it on tho.
I know this is ridiculously idealistic, but isn't that the point of dreaming? It can't be all doom and gloom, there has to be a solution or a silver lining somewhere.
Anyway, just girlie thoughts.... I can't talk about ANYTHING without talking about EVERYTHING so I'll ramble on and on....
